Aliens versus Predator versus The Terminator is a comic published by Dark Horse Comics about fictional characters from three separate movie series: Alien. More Alien Vs Predator Vs The Terminator videos.
Okay, so my about an Aliens Vs. Terminator movie didn't win. But people have been asking me (okay, so nobody was asking me anything) how did you come up with the idea for this incredibly ambitious and kick-ass movie idea? Aliens vs predator vs terminator As a kid, I would hear rumors that the future universe that Aliens showed us is the future after John Connor's Resistance won against Skynet. James Cameron proved it when he told us that Bishop was created by Hyperdyne Systems, which was mentioned in the original Terminator. And since we have Aliens, we also have Predator.
Ergo, they're all tied together in one big Cinematic Universe. These three movies (and some of their sequels) remain a few of my favorite movies. And so, I bring to you: The Definitive Aliens Vs. Terminator Film Anthology Over 12 movies! You could have the ultimate movie marathon! It's something I've been thinking about for years and wanted to share with my fellow APTers (just something we fans call each other. I just made that up.)!
Oh, and something you can keep your eyes out for. Bill Paxton is the only actor to be killed by a Terminator (the original, he's a punk), Alien (as Hudson in Aliens) and Predator (a cop in the second Predator). Also Lance Henrikson doesn't get killed in Aliens as Bishop, but he does in Aliens Vs Predator and the original Terminator (a cop protecting Sarah). Actress Jenette Goldstein played Vasquez in Aliens and was killed by the T-1000 in T2. And he will not stop.until you are dead Get away from her you bitch A good hunt Terminator (1984) He'll be back The original. The one that started it all for me. A human Resistance soldier is sent into the past to protect the Mother of Humanity's best hope against the ultimate killing machine---The Terminator.
A modern movie monster dressed in Ray-bans and shooting guns. A 'tech noir' thriller that nobody's ever seen before in 1984 that (obviously) had far reaching potential in the future.
Plus, it showed Arnold to a new American audience, and cemented James Cameron and Gale Ann Hurd as action/science fiction directing/producing forces. Predator (1987) Get to the Choppah Great movie. Arnold vs Carl Weathers AND the ultimate killing machine, the Predator! Starts off as a typical '80's action movie than goes into something else, something sci-fi that nobody saw before. The design of the Predator, with his energy weapons and cloaking device was awesome. Fun note: my friends and I used to watch this movie the night before we would play paintball, just to get pumped. One ugly mother.
Terminator 2 (1991) Now I know why you cry One of the greatest movies of all time. And, of course, one of the greatest villains of all time: the T-1000.
Made of a Mimetic Polyalloy, he can become anybody and stab you with his arm. This is literally a perfect movie with state-of-the-art new special effects, tons of great action and superior storyline. Mimetic Polyalloy. Call to John. Predator (2004) This was the first time that movie people put the two modern movie monsters on the same screen together, battling it out over Earth supremacy. It delved into the role that Aliens play in Predator hunting culture, but also how we humans may have worshiped them as an alien deity. Plus it had Lance Henrikson playing a human version of Bishop from the Aliens movie years before--along with the modern version of 'The Company,' Weyland Industries (soon to become the evil Weyland Yutani).
I hated the second AVP movie with a passion, so that's getting no play here (but the Japanese poster looks pretty cool). Predators (2010) Royce I truly enjoyed this movie.
It wasn't a remake of the original Predator, it was a modern sequel. It showed that these old properties could be remade for a new audience. It didn't detract from the previous two flicks and built upon what we as humans know about Predators--watch the scene where Isabella explains how a special ops team went into the jungle in the '80's and never came out except one man, and it kinda gives you chills. It also introduced a separate species of Predator, with their superiority complex and drones and hunting dogs. The only part I may have had a problem with involves Adrian Brody going against type as a bad ass mercenary. But once you got past who is in real life, you started to believe his role.
Plus, super cool weapons and a call back to 'Ol' Painless.' Where's the tough guy? Robocop Yeah, I stuck Robocop in the middle of my APT movie marathon. He deserves to be there.
My own personal OCP trilogy of Robocop (1987), Robocop 2 (1990) and Robocop (2014). You have 30 seconds to comply. I see the ED-209 (both versions) as introductory Terminators. Maybe Weyland Yutani was the corporation who bought Omni Consumer Products?
I loved all the 'future' tech you see in Robocop, down to Robo's USB/killing spike thing in hand, Wolverine-style. The future of law enforcement, indeed. Murphy basically becomes a high-tech zombie/Frankenstein for a corporation. Shit on Robocop 2 all you want, I thought it was a great movie (and the first Rated R movie I tried to see but chickened out). Caine has a great design as a OCP Cyborg.
Nuke me, baby! The Robocop movies are great flicks and seem to naturally fit into my cyborg/aliens marathon. The Robocop comics are pretty bad all around, kinda like Robocop 3.
Here's the synopsis for the Robocop/Terminator comics: Robocop Vs Terminator: Discovering that the technology used to build him is partly responsible for the future development of Skynet, RoboCop sets out to take down Skynet in the post-apocalyptic future single-handedly. Part of the story focuses on his mind, the only part left of him, hiding and moving throughout Skynet's systems, fighting back as best he can (). Kill Human: Robocop has traveled to the past and altered history, creating a brand new timeline in order to save humanity from genocide at the hands of Skynet and the machines. Now, with Sarah and John Connor as his companions, and his own private naval taskforce as protection, he will face the ultimate test of man vs machine.
They are hundreds of miles from land, surrounded by the finest military hardware the world has ever seen. Surely the T-1000 can't get them here?
This will be Alex Murphy's explosive last stand (). Heck, even the new Robocop movie from last year added a new dimension to the character and universe of future Detroit.
A familiar character in a similar situation, but with a modern twist. Some of the best actors in the business to boot. Dead or Alive, you're coming with me. The David/Prometheus Viral Video (2012).
Why, yes, David is wicked creepy. By the way, did you notice that the artificial humans in the Aliens movies are alphabetical? Ash, Bishop, Call, David. Anyway, back to the video at hand.
I did not like Prometheus. It had great potential but fell flat for me. But the viral videos that they put out before the movie were great.
There's also a great Peter Weyland (an descendant of Charles Bishop Weyland from AVP and another CEO of the company that will represent evil in the future, Weyland-Yutani). And since Prometheus and it's viral video ilk are apparently a prequel to Blade Runner, we'll include that in this list too.
Maybe it takes place after the fall of Skynet but before we start finding Aliens on LV-426. Realistic synthetic humans, built to do all sorts of things, from sex workers to elite soldiers (ancestors to the Terminators, perhaps?) He would make a great Terminator Terminator Salvation (2009) You could be mine I do believe I'm one of the few who actually liked this movie. I really like Bryce Dallas Howard as Kate, John's wife. It's obvious he trusts her and bounces ideas off her. That's something the original movies never dealt with--John Connor as a human, as a father and husband.
Him easily (and sometimes not so easily) fighting Terminators with modern weaponry is great, since they are so hard to kill during our time. No lasers yet. He's a soldier with the Resistance, already legendary and mythological prophesied (I'm sure somebody could write a term paper about John Connor and Jesus) but not their leader until the end of the flick. The T-600 was great, described in the original as not being very smart with plastic skin that made them stand out amongst humans.
Just a big, dumb robot with guns. I don't recall seeing this T-600 poster anywhere: T-600 Another highlight for me was the CGI-Original-Arnold-Terminator from 1984. For the time, the face was great and the movement looked just like Arnold did back in the day. Obviously the adult John Connor recognized it as his childhood protector, adding another cool dimension. I mean, this is the future that Kyle Reese told Sarah about all the way back in 1984--with HK's and 'smashing those metal motherf***s to scrap.' Terminator Genisys (2015) Come with me if you want to live The newest movie out.
Some people hate it, I really like it--can't wait for the Blu-ray. I thought it called back the original, copying the smallest details and changing it subtly. The entire beginning, the alternate 1984 was brilliant, the future scenes were great and just how I imagined they would be. ANOTHER John Connor actor (with a none-too-subtle JC patch on his cammies).
I thought Kyle Reese was given a second lease on cinematic life (although I'd prefer Michael Biehn, the new guy will have to do). Arnold was great as the Guardian--not Terminator, an important distinction, and SPOILERS, will be great as a T-1000 in the next film of the new series (can't wait to see the art and Hot Toys figure for that character). That, and I have a big crush on the new Sarah Connor, Emilia Clarke. Sarah Connor? All in all, a great movie in my opinion. Three different time periods: past, present, and future. Perfect for a movie marathon--showing once again how an old property can be done in modern times without destroying the original material.
Can't wait for the next one--although this timeline's John Connor will have to be much younger--he wasn't born in 1984 like the original, but sometime after 2017. And Skynet has a new lease on Matt Smith's life. Aliens (1986) Secreted from what? One of my favorite movies of all time (it's up there with T2). It took horror to the modern sci-fi movie and added in military and an alien force that can't be controlled, bartered with, or beaten.
Yeah, it's a Vietnam allegory, but a well done one. I love the ideas of the Colonial Marines with their 'synthetic humans' and I love the way James Cameron does military hardware and weaponry. I searched for years for the Aliens Colonial Marines Handbook, and it delves into even more of this type of stuff. The final scene in the Sulaco hangar bay is now classic.
Something we haven't seen yet Aliens Vs. Predator Game Trailer. Oh, and don't forget about this bad boy. To paraphrase another film saga: I shall make it canon. I felt the well-made trailer deserves a spot in this marathon. Future Weyland, Predators, Colonial Marines and Alien Xenomorphs.
Alien 5 (Upcoming -- Really) Hicks and Ripley again Neill Blomkamp will be directing a new Alien movie for 20th Century Fox and will be a sequel to Ridley Scott's 1979 Alien and James Cameron's Aliens. Sigourney Weaver is rumored to reprise her role as Ellen Ripley and face the dreaded Xenomorph once again. Currently, no release date is set for Blomkamp's Alien 5 however the plot for the film will take place well after the events of Ridley Scott's Prometheus and its sequel and closer to the timeline between Aliens and Alien 3 ().
Alien Ripley I happened to like Elysium. If what I'm seeing in these concept drawings, the movie looks to be pretty cool. Especially if they're bring back the original actors and are destroying the Alien 3 timeline. Seeing eye Alien And then, Skynet willing, comes Aliens Vs. Bad boys, bad boys. Not sure where the above poster came from, but it's great, isn't it?
Well, what do you think? Would you watch these 12+ movies, one right after another like an awesome movie marathon? Yes, Matt Smith as Skynet.
